We will be in Colby, KS with our BBQ Concession Trailer for the Pickin' on the Plains Bluegrass Festival - Official Website on June 4-6, 2021. Ricky Skaggs will be there as well as others. It has been a long time dream of Craig's to enter BBQ Competitions in addition to bottling and selling his savory sauces and meat rubs. Colorado Smokin' Butts BBQ Sauce Company ordered a large custom built smoker from Custom Pits and Fabrications in Watkinsville, Georgia in December 2016.

2018 We bought an Ole Hickory CTO in Cape Girardeau, Missouri

2019 We traveled to Fredericksburg, Georgia for our new concession trailer. We are now in the Catering/Vending business along with the BBQ Sauce business! We are using the Ole Hickory CTO on the concession trailer.

THE GREAT OASIS COOKOFF - COLBY, KS

The second part of his dream has become a reality. Craig entered The Great Oasis Cookoff in Colby, Kansas on April 28 & 29 2017. In adverse conditions, which included rain, snow and winds, he placed 3rd with his Pulled Pork entry. We also received the "Traveled the farthest" award!

30TH ANNUAL AMERICAN ROYAL BBQ SAUCE COMPETITION 2017

Our BBQ Sauces were entered in the 30th Annual American Royal BBQ Sauce Competition Kansas City. It is the largest barbecue sauce competition in the world. A record setting 606 entries traveled from across the country and around the world to compete. Colorado Smokin Butts' was among the entries! We didn't win the coveted "Best Sauce on the Planet", but we were pleased with the results: Our results were:

Mild Tomato: Our Original placed 76th.                                   Mustard: Our Carolina Mustard placed 29th.

Specialty: Colorado Bourbon Blend placed 26th                     Specialty: Gourmet Steak Sauce placed 75th

Hot Tomato: Spicy Original placed 214

Overall when all entry sauces were combined for scores: Colorado Bourbon Blend 173; Original 206; Carolina Mustard 326; Gourmet Steak Sauce 341; and Spicy Original 461.

Our Spicy Original isn't hot enough to compete in the Hot Tomato and next year we will enter it in the Mild Tomato class.

17TH ANNUAL LOAF 'N JUG BOATS, BANDS AND BBQ FESTIVAL - PUEBLO, CO

Our Spicy Original BBQ Sauce was entered in the 17th Annual Loaf 'n Jug Boats, Bands and BBQ Festival by a friend of ours. It received 2nd place!! It was only 3 points away from having a perfect score!!
